Bite Sized PMS Relief
  • 1 cup of fresh pitted dates (without sulfites) *
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds (preferably pre-soaked and dehydrated)
  • 2 Tbsp of raw cacao powder (feel free to add more for a stronger chocolate flavor
  • ¼ of coconut flakes
  • 1 Tbsp of pumpkin seed oil
  • ½ medium avocado
  • pinch of sea salt
  1. Pulse the dates in a food processor until it forms a paste
  2. add the rest of the ingredients and process until the mixture is smooth
  3. add more oil or avocado if needed
  4. line a tray with parchment paper
  5. take about a tablespoon of the mixture at a time and form into balls
  6. place the balls on the parchment paper
  7. Dust the balls with cacao power using a small strainer or sifter
  8. refrigerate for about 30 hour before eating.
  9. they store very well in the freezer for at least two weeks. You can eat them straight out of the freezer, they will not get very hard.
*Sulfites are preservatives used often in dried fruit to prevent browning. In large quantities sulfites may trigger symptoms of asthma. They may also cause allergic reactions in sensitive people. It is best to avoid them.
